Source code/customization. Source code version is available, which means that customization is possible without limit (by TatukGIS or by the client).

Data format flexibility. Solution natively reads the leading GIS/CAD industry standard formats.

Graphic as well as textual presentation to mobile handsets. Information can be served both graphically (as a dynamic map image) and textually (via WAP or SMS messaging) to the wireless handset. The support of graphic presentation offers an upgrade path to future versions of WAP, UTMS networks, and non-standard devices with HTML browsers (such as the new Nokia Communicator). Location-based queries can be submitted by either WAP or SMS.

Scaleable. Solution is appropriate for cluster and load-balancing environments, which means that the size of the map data and the database that can be supported is unlimited, without sacrificing speed.

Speed. User feedback is consistent - the TatukGIS map engine is faster than alternative products. Query/response speed is very important to the satisfaction of the retail wireless client.

Dynamic graphic presentation. Map presentation can be customized, on the fly, to the type of wireless device and monitor, to fit the right amount of map information (not cram too much information) to fit the screen of a particular wireless device.
