KB10250 - Can the DK be used to convert an existing layer from line topology to polygon topology, and vice versa?

The DK does not support this exact feature out-of-the-box, but the DK topology functionality can be used to develop an application to perform the conversion from line to polygon topology. In fact, TatukGIS has used the DK to develop just this kind of application under a custom development contract. The method in which the DK reads ESRI e00 data is an example of this sort of functionality.

The TatukGIS Editor product, however, supports exactly this functionality as a ready-to-use feature. Use the Topology Builder functionality wihin the Editor and select the option to build polygonal topology from the polyline layer.
