KB10264 - Does the DK support polygons with semi-transparent fills? Transparent color fills? What is the DK function for this?
Yes. Transparencies (translucency) are performed on a layer basis, whereby an entire layer is made semi-transparent. For example: (Layer.Transparency:=50) sets the transparency level of all vectors (such as polygons) on that layer at 50%. So effectively you can make polygon fills semi-transparent (or even 100% transparent) by placing all the subject polygons/fills in a single layer, or a group of layers, and setting the transparency level of each layer as desired. The DK supports an unlimited number of layers.
For a quick demonstration of the transparency feature, refer to the "Washington Transparency" and "Vector Layer Transparency" interactive map samples under the "Samples" menu on the TatukGIS web site. These samples are performed with the TatukGIS Internet Server LITE product (and not the DK itself), but provide quick demonstrations of the TatukGIS layer transparency functionality.
