KB10496 - I am using the DK-VCL trial version and I cannot get my application to compile under Delphi. Actually I am using the Delphi 7 trial version.
The DK-VCL will not work with the Delphi 7 (or later releases) trial version. This is because the Delphi trial version has a different version of libraries than the Delphi 7 final release and the Borland License agreement prohibits us from providing any compiled code for Delphi 7 trial version. Borland wants the Delphi trial version to be used only to evaluate Delphi itself, and not to be used with other commercial products like the DK. The same is true with the trial version of Borland’s C++Builder.
You can use the DK-VCL with any non-trial version of Delphi, even Personal Edition (which is sometimes offered in promotions for free). You can also test the DK-VCL with trial versions of Delphi 5 or 6, which did not have this restriction.
