KB10788 - How to install the TatukGIS Internet Server on Windows Server 2008?

Windows Server 2008 comes with IIS7.0. Our installer requires the presence of IIS6.0 Metabase. Therefore, before Installing TatukGIS IS:

1) open Server Manager
2) go to Roles -> Web Server (IIS)
3) Select "Add Role Services"
4) Select for installation "IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility"

If you will run the 64bit version of Windows Server 2008, remember to set "Enable 32-Bit Application=True" in Advanced Settings of Application Pool. Default pool after installation is: "Classic .NET AppPool"

Also please remember that, by default IIS7.0 will be installed without any .NET support, so add the .NET support upon installation of "Web Server (IIS)" role. Also visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=77296 to install ASP.NET Ajax Extensions 1.0 for .NET 2.0. Or install .NET 3.5 (when it will become available on Windows Server 2008).

These instructions are valid as well for Vista x86 & x64.
