ADCC Software Solutions (www.adccindia.com), located in Nagpur India, recently announced its Fleet Locator product, which provides for the real-time GPS tracking, messaging, routing, control, and management of commercial fleets, public transportation networks, and police vehicles. Fleet Locator was developed from the TatukGIS DK-ActiveX toolkit. The Navigator , an in car GPS navigation system for both laptop PC's and Windows Pocket PC devices, was released to the Australian market by Magellan GPS Systems at the Sydney Consumer Electronics and Entertainment exhibition in June. This commercial fleet management system, which is created from the TatukGIS DK-VCL, was recently released by the Romanian company AM CONSULTING Serv SRL. The solution has already been deployed to some clients, mostly security and delivery companies, and AM CONSULTING is cooperating with wireless telephone providers that are using both CDMA and GSM/GPRS technology. Dassault Data Services will deliver a 90 minute presentation on the use of the TatukGIS Developer Kernel (DK) and its adaptation to the French market for GIS application development at the Borland Software Conference (BorCon) 2002.
