The TatukGIS Editor is licensed per user. The licensed user may install and use the product on one main computer, physical or virtual. The licensed user is allowed to also install and use the Editor on a second computer (typically a laptop for travel or home computer) under the same license, provided that the product is used i) only by the same user on both computers and ii) never on both computers at the same time.

Concurrent-user licensing of the TatukGIS Editor, for deployment to a shared environment such as a terminal server configuration, is also available at a price per concurrent user that is three times the standard license price. Under a concurrent-user license, the customer must use a procedure to ensure that the number of users at any given time never exceeds the number of concurrent-user licenses purchased.

Customization scripts created with the TatukGIS Editor may deployed to other computers running a licensed version of the Editor. Volume price discounts are available. Run-time licensing, for the creation of a unique application built on top of the Editor, may be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

The TatukGIS Viewer is licensed as a free product. It may be used for both private and commercial proposes and may be redistributed to others. The Viewer product may not be altered or customized in any way. As a free product, the Viewer is not supported (but thoughtful feedback is welcome).

The TatukGIS Editor license maintenance is provided on an annual subscription basis. The maintenance includes download access and user rights to each downloaded upgrade/update version of the licensed product, log-in access to the Editor user forum, and TatukGIS e-mail technical support. Each license purchase includes maintenance for the first 12 months. Renewal of the license maintenance for each additional 12 month period is optional and presently costs 40% of the price of a new license.
