Q&A - Question OpenStreetMap Web Tiles Server Question HalB asked on March 13, 2019, keyword: Developer Kernel Hi, We have been using the OpenStreetMap web tiles that you have graciously provided for free since July of 2016. Recently we have been receiving complaints from our clients that the web tiles are lacking basic information, particularly the boundaries of countries, provinces/states, and in the USA, the counties. I have also noticed that in North America, the Great Lakes are missing as well as Lake Athabasca in northern Alberta/Saskatchewan Canada. Has there been some changes to the rendering of the web tiles? Are there some parameters that I must add to the web tiles query t get a more complete rendering? As you have previously said, the web tiles service is a "test" case so your clients could have some form of free web tiles, and we appreciate your efforts. Have you made any decisions on continuiation of the service? Is there any chance of improved tile rendering, and ability to choose from different rendering styles? Regards, Hal Answers Tomasz Kosinski (TatukGIS) replied March 13, 2019 We work on improvements. Rendering is a semi-static process so cannot be modified dynamically.
